Riding both sides make your overall wakeboarding more stable. It's much easier to ride or learn new tricks when your switch stance is developed

Stay healthy

Yes, riding in switch helps prevent muscle disbalance that comes if you only ride one side. And the faster you learn the same trick in both sides, the better.

Prolong riding time

When you ride and do tricks on both sides, you get tired much slower. You have more endurance and stamina to do more laps without getting tired.

At first, learning Switch was crazy boring - so I skipped it. As well as many other basics. And later I came across the impact of that. I could do many tricks on my goofy stance, but in Switch, I couldn't even get to the obstacle. I started learning. It was boring, but I needed it. Now I almost don't care which one of my legs is in front. It helps a lot! And also, sometimes I do Switch sessions. Wow, that's helpful too! All the time I have to approach a trick and land it in Switch. That's difficult, but it trains my muscles and my brain as well!
